You cannot detain or arrest a baby, you can only kidnap her. These people need to wear a scarlet letter, need to ring a bell to loudly declare their moral bankruptcy. Everyone must be allowed to avoid them until they have made amends.

It's really important to note that ICE is absolutely in Texas right now. They have the cooperation of local cops and state troopers, as well as the cooperation of state and local governments. Texans are being terrorized by law enforcement every single day. And we are also resisting hard.

A reminder that city idiot @ezraklein.bsky.social has been whining over & over the Dems need to run more candidates like Glusenkamp Perez and anti abortion creeps like Henry Cuellar to ‘win’
The seven Democrats who sided with Republicans were Reps. Henry Cuellar (Texas), Jared Golden (Maine), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (Wash.), Laura Gillen (N.Y.), Don Davis (N.C.), Tom Suozzi (N.Y.) and Vicente Gonzalez (Texas).

61% of responses said ICE has gone too far, 11% say not far enough, but somehow this equates to voters being split because the NYT has to “both sides” everything. 61% is closer to 2/3 than it is to a split down the middle, last time I checked my math here.
The Minnesota strike has made it to the top story on NYT. I am not a knee jerk NYT hater, but imo this is noteworthy given the paper’s relative lack of interest in other recent anti-Trump protest activity

If I were running this account, I might’ve run a check first to see how many AFL-CIO–affiliated police bargaining units have existing contracts to work for ICE. I count at least four.
The horrific stories of the Trump admin’s militarized immigration enforcement are every parent’s worst nightmare.

ICE must immediately stop these dangerous operations and leave our communities and workplaces.

Cynically, DeLauro issued blistering statements against ICE, then negotiated the ICE funding deal, then personally voted against it, then celebrated with Republicans after passage. She's 82, represents Yale, and has a primary challenger.

National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

Another day, another outrage; ICE under Trump is going to deport dozens of people to Iran, including two gay men previously arrested by the regime who face the death penalty for their orientation, and despite the ongoing crackdowns which have killed thousands.

An administration of total inhumanity.

I read The Anxious Generation and once I saw he compared being trans to a contagion it immediately cast not only the rest of the book in doubt but everyone who has bought what he's selling hook line and sinker
It's incredible how effective transphobia is as a litmus test for SO many issues. Every time I find a new pro-surveillance tech stooge, they're transphobic. I think people need to understand how tightly the belief that the internet is turning everyone trans is bound up w mass surveillance efforts
Jonathan Haidt Promoted a Fringe Theory on Trans Youth — Assigned
The author of “The Anxiety Generation” told Margaret Hoover for PBS that young people become trans due to peer contagion effects. There is no evidence for this claim.

A friend in CT recently told me that his normie mom joined an ICE watch group months ago, and his sister had already been pepper sprayed by agents for blocking an ICE vehicle at a protest. Stuff happening there is going under the radar compared to the bigger invasions.

To be fair, 3 years ago they were claiming the "effects" took 5-7 years. In three years, it'll be "11-14 years".
One thing I've noticed from watching 'gender critical' activists is that consequences are always 10 years away, no matter when you ask them.

There's no study that shows that after 8 to 10 years trans people being to regret transition, of course.

This is based on nothing at all.
