If 4.9 million kids with asthma is a national health priority, what does it mean when 5.8 million have Long Covid?

Why is the #1 chronic condition in children being ignored?

Finally an official member of the ADHD club today, at 48yo.
Partner + eldest child got their memberships earlier this yr.
Surely the other 3 kiddos should just auto qualify now?! Maybe a bulk buy discount or something... 🙄

New report goes inside Australian homes to reveal the extent mould, gas cooktops, pests and heating are impacting people’s health
While our homes are often thought of as safe spaces, a world first report by Asthma Australia reveals that’s not always the case.

We owe it to our children to mitigate airborne infections and to vaccinate them effectively.
Western countries abandoning kids due to lower PERCEIVED risk and a drive for normalcy is wholly irresponsible.

I have (aussie-centric) stories.
1/ Yr 11 in high school, legend Paul Kelly stopped by one day, unplanned, unannounced. Sang a few songs, chatted. Fan for life.
2/ I lived in the same apartment building as Michael Klim + fam (also Lleyton + Bec Hewitt and some others but I digress)...
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

More thankful than usual to be in Australia rn.

I often see/hear "I'm in burnout, but how do I help myself?".
Below - from a cited study 🙌 - are specific, practical actions to take.
It's a long weekend so here is a reminder that researchers know what it takes to prevent and recover from workplace burnout. I'll cite the study below but here are the 4 things.
- ability to mentally unplug from work
- relaxation activities. Not doomscrolling: truly restful & refreshing activities.

My Baby Bee is 5 tomorrow.

My 'pandemic baby'.

My 4th, and my last.
Conversely, if he'd been my first, he'd've been my last.

He is a whirlwind who hugs the hardest, yells the loudest, and pushes the most.
I'm so grateful we have him in our life.
