Parent to a small tribe. Genetics student. ND. Busy. Tired.
Ouch. Fmr Payroll Software Consultant here.
You *do not* fk with people's pay!
Also: incredibly strange timing for a new roll-out. Do that at the new FY, not last pay of the old one!

I may have run into some internalised ableism a few times recently when I helpfully note to 'Autism Mom TM' types that neurodivergence is 'highly genetic'...
I used to tread gently. Now I poke the bear.

No argument here, I just wish there was a bulk discount offer...
3 of 6 (2 parents + eldest child) ✔️ so far... 3 younger kiddos yet to be assessed, but it's "all but a formality"

Australia too. I have 4 kiddos btwn 5-12yo, & I am *fighting* to get them vaccinated.

Desperately trying to get approval (!) for my 4 kiddos (aged 5, 7, 11, 12) to *be* vaccinated.
Current Australian guidelines say not before 18yo w/out 'risk factors'.
Husband is permanently disabled (pre-covid, csf infection). Not 'risk' enough.
Organ damage; long covid; not risk enough...

Thank you. The moment I enter my garden, my shoulders and jaw immediately relax.
No mindfulness app/process/whatever compares.

Oh, THAT'S an easy follow!
Me, I'm too old for most shit. My people-pleasing days were done the moment I identified wtf I was doing.
I did reproduce. Late 30's. Boys. 4 of 'em. Every day, they get 'chats' like "soon, you're going to be bigger than most. Here's how you wield that power for good"...

...2/ he stepped out in front of my car as I was leaving the carpark + I nearly ran him over 🫣
3/ same era, working in Eastern Melb, I pulled out of a carpark & bloody Geoffrey Rush - in a trench coat - dashed across the road in front of me. My only two pedestrian near misses 🤦‍♀️

I'm so sorry. Sitting here in Melbs, very nervous about what the USA will look like when we wake up tomorrow .

'Surgical birth'. Thank you for that term. Genuinely.
I've had 4, & always struggled finding the right born/birthing term. Really appreciate finding this one....
Also: the nd sensory affront- incl my body changing during pregnancy in ways *other* than the expected ones - def needs better comms.
