We left two nights ago, having observed the approaching conditions. Our farm is 10mins out of Euroa, which is currently under a 'Take Shelter Now' emergency warning as at 9pm tonight. Anxious times, but zero regrets.
Swapped 42°C (107°F) at the family farm, for 42°C in the city for the impending 'extreme heat' wave across Vic.
The diff? Fire risk. We've evac'd from bushfires & seen fires travel 60km in a day.
The Farm is *so* dry rn. Absolute privilege, but we will take the overcautious approach.

Purely anecdotal but I’m having trouble finding great up-to-date tracking so figured I’d share that over the past 2 weeks I’ve seen a significant uptick in people presenting with COVID and complications like organ damage (mostly kidney injury and hepatitis but pneumonia; too) needing hospitalization
