It's only a tiny thing in this, but Peter Serafinowicz isn't his "own brother-in-law", he's his *ex* brother-in-law, and part of Glinner's awfulness is how he seems unwilling to accept that his wife is no longer his wife. It's scary, frankly.
Graham Linehan has such little self-awareness he *really* doesn’t understand how totally unhinged he seems in his ‘woe is me’ batshit crazy ranting! 😬

He’s the ‘cautionary tale’ of what obsessive ‘gender critical’ transphobia leads to: no friends, no life, and spaghetti carbonara for one!

Sharing this to commemorate Dick Van Dyke’s centenary.
One of the best exchanges I’ve ever seen on social media was when Lt. Cmndr Data and Bert the Chimney Sweep got into a rumble over Angela Lansbury.

The Force Awakens and Avengers Endgame are up there but hand on heart seeing Megalopolis with a crowd, all of whom found it as funny as I did, cannot be beat.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Look I’m not saying Woody Allen is guilty (he is, he’s guilty) but if I was innocent (he’s not) I’d probably avoid doing a big ‘my pals are all nonces’ interview
Woody Allen on dinners with Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew - No regrets.

Allen "wants to work with Trump and still says Jeffrey Epstein was “charming and personable”. It's "all good material".

The article was written by 'just protecting women' fanatic, Hadley Freeman

I find it *incomprehensible* that people can claim they are "fighting for the rights of women and girls" and not apparently acknowledge that - at the very least - many many reasonable women and girls *disagree with them about this*.

The problem with the BBC being the nation’s finest engine for soft power, is that people have realised that they can easily exert hard, nasty, cruel power on it, and bend it out of shape.

Empathy, curiosity and compassion shouldn’t be problematic qualities that need silencing. Seems they are now.
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Damn. I was really hoping I'd get to send THAT birthday card to Stanley Baxter. I wish I'd seen him in panto - common consent has it that he was the best dame of all, and it's easy to believe. However, I did get to meet him a few times, and I interviewed him at home for one of my books.

The big, big self-delusion at the heart of almost everything Labour is doing wrong is that through some old-time Labour economics you can avoid having an electoral coalition that looks a lot like 'Labour in 2024, Australian Labor in 2025, the Canadian Liberals in 2025' or indeed 'Harris in 2024'.
There’s more writing than wall at this point.
❗ Reform GAIN from Labour

Red Hall and Lingfield (Darlington) council by-election result:

REF: 38.4% (+38.4)
CON: 17.2% (-22.7)
LDEM: 17.2% (+17.2)
LAB: 16.6% (-37.2)
GRN: 9.7% (+3.5)
IND: 1.0% (+1.0)

+/- 2023

Estimated turnout: ~28% (-3)

Every day, I become more sad that there is not an embedded documentary team on the set of HBO’s Harry Potter series, a production that is visibly ill-conceived and all over the place, and that has pushed its premiere back to *2027*.
The FT’s going to need to put a wellbeing plan in place for @stephenkb.bsky.social at this rate
They invited Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to the Harry Potter set THIS SEPTEMBER?!?

One of the many reasons AI can't produce good writing is it can't hate its own writing. It can't think to itself "Maybe I'm illiterate" during the writing process. And that's essential

Been v busy and wanted to post about the 10th anniversary of #DoctorWho - Heaven Sent when I read this article that Rachel shared. This episode screened a year after I lost Becky and I found it incredibly insightful about the nature of grief. So much so, I wrote to Steven Moffat about it (1/n)
