Trauma fatigue (or empathy fatigue) is very real psychological response to relentlessly witnessing suffering. It ultimately saps your energy, whether you want it to or not, and numbs your emotions. Forcing yourself to watch these atrocities is going to give you trauma fatigue and make you a bad ally
I’ve seen 2 skeets today about this, so I feel the need to say it: YOU ARE NOT FAILING ANYONE BY NOT WATCHING ATROCITY VIDEOS. You are allowed to look away. You can bear witness by reading or through protest. You do not need to traumatize yourself to prove you care, and fuck anyone who says you do.

Read a blog post about how we all have to accept AI in promo art because not everyone can afford an artist and even free stock art will all have AI, and I just want everyone to know that I will promote my stories with stick figures I handdraw with crayon before I willingly use AI tainted art.
