I've been seeing this headline floating around. To be clear:

1) This is "No. 1" on a miniscule chart, The "Country Digital Song Sales" chart, as in people actually paying money to download country songs which is a tiny amount of people

2) The actual consumers are almost certainly fake

As many have pointed out, Mamdani didn't stand apart from our trans brothers and sisters. He didn't play the "Gee, gosh, it sure is complicated," milquetoast moderate card. And he crushed.

The way forward is together, not over the bodies of our own.

The Zapatistas have solved literally every single issue mentioned in this thread by staying AWAY from the operatives of the Mexican nation state and while avoiding forming a centralized government or authority of their own.
universal public education is a good that has literally only ever been achieved by the state in the history of human civilization.

A friend of mine was on Charlie Kirk's "watch list" of Black professors. She received so many death and rape threats that her university offered her a security detail for the walk to class.

This is Kirk's legacy.

You would never know it from reading all of these legacy newspaper op-eds about him.

I love this. Screens have become a legit problem in cars. And not just because they're a single point of failure to have access to functions of the vehicle.

Amazingly, reaction times using screens while driving are worse than being drunk or high—no wonder 90 percent of drivers hate using touchscreens in cars.

Finally the auto industry is coming to its senses. Real buttons are sooooooo back baby!

Silicon Valley is run by people who genuinely think the world as we know it is going to end in the next few decades. Many also WANT this to happen: they WANT the biological world to be replaced by a new digital world. They WANT "posthumans" to take the place of humans. A 🧵:

I think one thing chatGPT's invention has revealed is how many people - including some very important people in society - find just basic reading and writing to be laborious and cumbersome to perform, and how oddly closely that type of strained literacy correlates with having other shitty opinions.

My bold proposal: make this website suck ass
Bluesky needs more ideological diversity, a thread:

1/8: I think the question of why commentators like Matt Yglesias, Lakshya Jain, Noah Smith, Nate Silver and Richard Hanania don’t post more, or at all on Bluesky is important.

This would be a better platform if they did.
I like posting on BlueSky because I think I’m the most right-wing person who uses this service.
