Bad Bunny performance so disrespectful, did he not know where he was performing? Singing a song about New York in California, disgraceful

Maybe the greatest alt-rock one-hit wonder of all time, in terms of how awesome the one hit was and how immediately obvious it was that they would never have another.

My Libertarian cousin posted something right after the inauguration about how Trump was already delivering to his LIbertarian voters (by pardoning some Silk Road guy or something, some Libertarian cause I hadn't heard of) I got really mad at him
this is a subject that's near and dear to my heart

1. no you didn't, you retconning fucks

2. your decades of anti-governance "free market" "government never functions" propaganda paved the way for the complete authoritarian decimation of labor, consumer, environmental protections

Rumors are that Bad Bunny is gearing up to drop yet another album. Don't know if this is true, but if he does this right now, he's gonna put up absolutely insane numbers, numbers only Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift can hit right now.

"I'd like to confuse bok choi with cabbage, sir"
Does anyone else have an MST3K line they use regularly, even if it makes no sense out of context?

Because I have both "That'll keep your panfish down for a while." and "Come come, boys, we must confound Jerry at every turn!" from MST3K the movie alone.

This is bizarre to think about, but Kid Rock has in fact played the Super Bowl

I am officially rooting for this game to end 3-0, or, ideally, 5-2

It's really impressive that the NFL, of all companies, was one of the few to realize that not kowtowing to Trump was gonna pay off.

I submit 2011 as a uniquely bad year for movies. I don't know if this holds up upon closer examination but I submit it

Aw man! Shitty day. RIP to a guy who played guitar in a band that did not sound like a single other band

RIP Brad Arnold from 3 Doors Down. "Kryptonite" is and was always a great song.

Hey, a few people have sent me this, and apologies to everyone popping the champagne right now but this headline is misleading. The Shinedown dates have been canceled. That leaves seven other cities where the festival is still happening.

I can't believe I didn't know this but Universal Music Group, one of the Big Three record labels, was owned by (and arguably created by) Seagram, the ginger ale company. And that lasted for a good decade until the company collapsed and now doesn't exist (its brands were all sold to other companies)

I can't believe no one informed me of this immediately. Anyway, let's see how aggressively Taylor is cracking down on unauthorized leaks of this video

Notably, 2026 is the second year of Kid Rock's festival. Last year they did a smaller version, headlined by Nickelback, and we did not see a lot of hand-wringing about if Nickelback was MAGA. Shit done changed, and quick
No, though. The concert *isn't* explicitly for loud Republicans. It just features a lot of loud Republicans. For everyone asking, "Oh no my fave is on there, does this mean they're MAGA" it means they like money. the powers that be in Nashville decided that passively tolerating MAGA was lucrative
That’s what makes it odd

This concert is explicitly for LOUD republicans, people who want everyone to know how much they hate you.

If you consider politics a private matter idk why you’d stay besides money (which it may not even make that much of)

Interesting. It's certainly suggestive, but could just be schedule adjustment like happens all the time. Shinedown pulling out and actually saying out loud it was because of Kid Rock's politics is the bigger thing
I was comparing the original line up with the list they've got on the Rock the Country homepage and it looks like Creed might have also pulled out at some point? I'm not seeing any reporting on it anywhere but their name isn't on the list anymore
