The admin's policies are slowing economic growth and raising prices. Deportations are horrific and they are not the only harmful thing. They also are part of an overall economically harmful agenda that benefits the few at the top.

The employed shares of both the foreign born and the native born population were flat throughout 2025. Deporting people does not create economic opportunities that require some adjustment. They hurt everyone with fewer employment opportunities, less growth and higher inflation.

During his Administration, Hurricane Maria knocked out power to 1.5 million people in Puerto Rico and it didn’t get restored for ABOUT A YEAR! It was the largest blackout in U.S. history. This should be line one of any hurricane recovery political coverage. www.vox.com/identities/2...

Not obvious why this is happening now. Such fundamentals as there are - demand for use in crime and tax evasion, support from US authorities and elites, widespread use as a speculative asset - haven't weakened. [see also @weisenthal.bsky.social newsletter]

New MACPAC data show the highly effective Medicaid Drug Rebate Program reducing gross Medicaid drug costs by 54.9% in FY 2024. Earlier Congressional Budget Office research found that Medicaid gets the lowest net prices of other federal programs/agencies even the VA: www.macpac.gov/publication/...

Pedestrianize Beacon Street from Charles to Washington (the whole length seen here) as well as Park St

So many streets in downtown Boston have throngs people walking & biking crammed into a few feet of space, so a handful of cars can have lots of room to sit gridlocked & occasionally kill people

This pup found a stick shaped like an old timey pipe earlier today and has already solved three mysteries. 13/10
