Yes, it's Rand Paul.

Yes, every word he said is the stone cold truth.

Not. Good. Enough. Chuck.
SCHUMER says Democrats are “united” behind three DHS reforms

1/ End roving patrols; tighten the rules on warrants and require ICE to coordinate with local authorities.

2/ Enforce accountability; a uniform code of conduct.

3/ Require masks off, body cameras on, agents carry ID.

The Boss wrote a song about us. Im not sure how I feel about that, but it includes the fact that St. Paul is going through it as well.
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Profiles in leadership:

Ilhan Omar, after being assaulted: I will fight these assholes with my bare hands if that's what it takes, we're never backing down.

Tim Walz, from his cozy office: I'm willing to give Trump, Miller, and Tom Homan the benefit of the doubt that they won't be mean anymore.

I took a break and caught a movie and came out to find that someone had attacked my Representative? Just one day, is all I am asking for.
Please, we're so tired

What the fuck, @governorwalz.mn.gov? This is some collaboration nightmare fuel.
"I'm gonna give Homan the benefit of the doubt"

"They should coordinate with local law enforcement, pick these people up in the middle of the night when they're not suspecting it"

Walz is capitulating to fascists and encouraging night raids. Genuinely disgusting. Why would anyone settle for this?

This is the way, make “ok, abolish only ICE” the moderate position.
Amid growing calls for the abolition of ICE, Rep. Delia Ramirez is calling for the entire DHS to be dismantled. Highlighting how much experience the officers who killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti had, Ramirez said, “DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity.”

Rick Scott, Florida Republican, oversaw the largest Medicare fraud in history. His company, Columbia/HCA, defrauded recipients and military families while making Scott the wealthiest U.S. senator. The investigation resulted in $1.7 billion in fines.

Had that happened today, Trump would pardon him.

I spend a huge portion of my life in Cedar Riverside, it's where I work and also where I make and see theater. It also houses a lot of Somali immigrants and organizations, including some of my favorite restaraunts. #minneapolis
THIS, ALL DAY. We call it Cedar Riverside. Everyone just calls it Cedar Riverside. And we go there, regularly, for all sorts of reasons: there are theaters in that same neighborhood, there's a college, there's a music venue, and there are some excellent restaurants.
We go through this every few years: NO ONE HERE CALLS CEDAR RIVERSIDE LITTLE MOGADISHU

At least 20 agents committed offenses with underage victims. The bulk of abuse happened within the last two years.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

Majority of the country now wants to abolish and/or dismantle ICE and yet Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. told the caucus the message had to be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

Once again it looks like Schumer is about to choke after getting a massive opportunity.

So pathetic and weak.
