Ive had friends who ran for office with the local establishment backing them and they get so mad at the existence of candidates without that backing.

I'm a longtime fan of @cnliberalism.org and I even get this was probably was the intent. But it was still outrageously offensive and ill-phrased, it's shockingly bad. It merits disavowal and apology and taking away this person's access to the account, not messing around with shrugging it off.

Disturbingly reminds me of what happened to the Libertarian Party and how it started, randos being allowed to run the state and local twitter accounts and post increasingly insane and awful stuff, while the national org refused to stamp it out. Defending or equivocating on it is... a very bad call.

Fundamentally there's this weird way that people conflate the actual thing you're measuring with the thing you're trying to measure when it comes to exams. The reason that accommodations exist is because time pressure during exams is not reflective of the actual thing you're trying to measure
A lot of education discourse is at root an inability to decide whether the purpose of our education system is to 1) teach material and measure learning 2) reward students who work hard 3) separate the smart kids (destined for smart guy jobs) from the dumb kids (destined to serve the smart guys)

I think Boomers are the age demo the GOP stands to lose the most ground with if (when) Republicans goes full groyper. A shift to the left from normie Boomers could absolutely ruin the GOP’s geographic advantage.
