Pretty sure Pelosi inviting her to speak at the 2012 Democratic National Convention and then being elected DNC vice chair had more to do with her political fortunes than Bernie defending her moments before she endorsed Biden.

It wasn't until I visited the Whitney plantation that I learned how sugar plantations worked and realized how much mass death was involved in slavery that I was never taught about in American history.
Mortality rates were so high on sugar plantations during slavery that slaveholders used to coerce enslaved people working other crops like cotton with threats to sell them or their loved ones to sugar plantations.
That’s where the term “sold down the river” came from.

The minute details are obviously significantly different but a core similarity between UKR and Palestine is that neither can actually reach a political solution because in each case their corresponding belligerent has an outwardly eliminiationist goal and has shown that it won't deviate from it.

My observation as a scientist is that most professionals who went to college right after the GFC have seen any job they do become prole work at a frightening pace, their degree losing it's status value but their critical thinking skills remain to demand for more.

The PMC set that centrist Democrats worked so feverishly since 2016 to bring into the coalition are quickly becoming the bulwark of the Left.
