Thank you, Speaker Emerita Pelosi, for your decades of service that defined a generation of politics and for doing something truly rare in Washington: making room for the next one.
This is why we need a new generation of leaders in Congress. After 40 days of holding firm, with public opinion and momentum on our side, establishment Democrats decided to cave to Trump.

This was their chance to make that case.
Had they stuck to it, they could have all made ads saying, “When Trump tried to double your healthcare premiums, we fought, and we won. And if you vote for us, we’ll do the same on groceries, housing, and utility bills.”

Republicans learned that they will always win. Any attempt by Dems to use their leverage is a bluff, and they know it. This was the best chance Dems had to actually deliver for people because Republicans were LOSING on the shutdown.
Only solution now is new Senate leadership.

Schumer rightfully getting a lot of flack.
But Durbin should be getting just as much flack. He's the Senate whip. His job is to whip votes to hold the line. Yet he just voted to cave to Trump and allow healthcare premiums to skyrocket.
Both need to step down from leadership.

Absolutely right
Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?

Absolutely right
Ossoff knows that people WANT him fight to keep healthcare premiums down. No Georgian wants to pay more in healthcare.
He’s in the toughest race of any Dem. If he can do this, why can’t the other Dems?

My pickleball highlights just dropped and so did our next round of neighborhood town halls! If you’re in the Richmond, join us tomorrow at 6:30pm at the Richmond Rec Center. If you're not, no worries, we’re coming to Bernal Heights, Potrero Hill, and Glen Park next.

America used to actually serve Americans. Before politicians sold our economy for parts to big corporations, we actually built things and invested in our people. These ideas aren't crazy, unfortunately, they're just not what we're used to.

This is probably Hakeem’s team trying to sow discord and split progressives before Chi even gets started.
Chi took a huge risk and was the first city councilman to endorse Zohran. They go way back.

Come on, don’t let all this be for nothing. People are going to get crushed by healthcare bills. Trump was literally on TV saying Republicans lost elections on Tuesday because of the shutdown. They are on the back foot. We have a chance to win actual relief for people! Why cave??

If Democratic leaders were forcefully making their case for ending the shutdown, we would have seen Trump's numbers on it plummet earlier, and this shutdown would already be over. Why is the shutdown not front page new every single day?

The ceasefire announcement has mostly served as a way to turn attention away from what Israel continues to do in Gaza.
There is no ceasefire, and the genocide is continuing.

If there’s anything I’ve learned from working with Bernie and AOC, it’s that you just have to try.

We've got momentum! 500 people at our office opening party, 800 at our rally, hundreds of canvassers every week, all a year out from the election. San Francisco is ready for change!

Trump is now starving Americans to gain political leverage over Democrats. If you’re in need of food, check out the SF-Marin Food Bank — and if you have the ability, consider donating.

Yes, it’s time for a new generation of leaders who will fight for big, sweeping solutions because small, incremental policy reforms aren’t cutting it. Watch the full interview, link in bio

The answer to housing has to be “all of the above,” and Zohran gets that.
✅ Zoning reform
✅ Cut red tape
✅ Public financing
✅ Social housing
✅ Displacement protections
✅ Controls on speculation
We need to plan and build housing like infrastructure, because it is.

People want bold, sweeping change. They wanted it in 2008, in 2016, and again this past Tuesday. But a message alone won't accomplish that, we need a plan to actually deliver on that vision.

The establishment is so hung up on messaging that they forget we actually need to solve these problems. For the past five years, I’ve been working on solutions to our country’s biggest issues — you can check them out at newconsensus.com

It's not about labels.
It's about if you're going to do something to make this country more affordable or not.

He is correct.

The establishment thinks money wins elections. Zohran showed us it’s the people who do. Organized people beat organized money. I’m not taking corporate or lobbyist money, but I am taking volunteers because we’re building the largest canvassing operation San Francisco’s ever seen.

The next time anything gets “too big to fail,” the government should just take it over.
If the people have to bail a company out, the people should own the company.
