Tomorrow in Santa Monica, protesters are organizing an anti-ICE demonstration at Amazon's tech hub.

Amazon provides cloud services to ICE—last September, it inked a $25 million contract with the agency. The organizers have a simple message: ICE out.

Important to understand that informer systems are very key for policing political dissent. Under McCarthy/Hoover fear was like a contagion. Americans were so terrified of being identified w/ the minority many unalived themselves from the pressure. Stephen Miller has not been able to replicate this.

Performative public lying is a hallmark of far right authoritarian parties

And also, the central cleavage in 🇺🇸 politics is still neither Democratic vs Republican, nor liberal vs conservative, nor rich vs poor, etc., but rather over the answer to the question, "Who was <actually> president in 2020?"

Senate Democrats must demand actual accountability.

If they can't abolish ICE, they must insist on independent investigations into the shooters of Good and Pretti (and everyone else ICE has hurt). They can't let it stand as an unaccountable agency with total impunity and endless funding.

This poll is the worst high-quality poll for Trump that I’ve seen this term.
Pew has Trump's approval at 37%. And:

"Only about a quarter of Americans today (27%) say they support all or most of Trump’s policies and plans, down from 35% when he returned to office last year. That change has come entirely among Republicans."
