My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

A huge number of people were deprived of citizenship by the Nazis. Political opponents first, then Jews. Maybe more than 200,000 people in total.
without birthright citizenship in the united states, you don't have a democracy and you don't have rule of law.

revoking birthright citizenship gives fascists free rein to purge the country of literally anyone they don't like. it opens the door to atrocities and mass murder. i am not exaggerating.

Hegseth’s own “fog of war” excuse fully contradicts this new excuse, which they have clearly just come up with to try to keep him out of the Hague
EXCLUSIVE: Pete Hegseth ordered the U.S. military on Sept. 2 to kill all 11 people on a suspected drug-smuggling boat because they were on an internal list of military targets, the commander overseeing the operation told lawmakers, according to multiple sources.

Adm. Frank Bradley said U.S. intelligence had identified the 11 people on the boat and determined the military was authorized to kill them as part of Trump’s campaign against alleged drug-smuggling vessels.

Because you have a list. You can do that, right away.

No reason to delay, their buddies know they got blown up. So let's see that list.

Note: this is yet another variation on the story. First, they said they killed them in the second strike because they were trying to continue the smuggling. Or possibly signalling to allies.

But now the story is they killed them because their names were on a target list.
"Bradley told lawmakers that the orders he received from Hegseth were to kill the individuals on the approved target list, which included everyone on the boat, then destroy the drugs and sink the boat, those sources said."

They were civilians.
