I have hit 40k words in my first draft and I'm finally able to let myself down by botching the best part of the story.

I'm reading about a plan the army had to lure Saddam out of the spider hole by carpet bombing the area with porno mags, but in test runs a little porno kept falling in the hole, rendering the whole thing pointless

Spilled coffee in my lunchbox this morning but luckily it's a leftover French dip sandwich and is meant to be eaten soggy.

I like that Tubi has a category of movie that's just called "Movie Night!" and for some reason the movies in that category really do feel specifically appropriate for a movie night in a way that other movies on Tubi do not.

Spoke to a clergy member the other day and they told me that a stranger recently called their church with a sob story that sounded fishy, but they sent the guy money anyway, and then within a few days they got flooded with calls giving the same very specific sob story...
our church has a specific relationship with a facility that provides diapers, formula, etc, as we also do with a food pantry, so if someone calls our church asking for formula or food they're probably going to be directed there - not because they dont want to help, but because, that's how it helps

cool how elon keeps saying shit like, we must crush "suicidal empathy" to achieve mankind's full potential. it's like if star wars was about emperor palpatine promising the next movie is going to have a death star in it for sure and then at the end there's a ceremony where he gets a trillion dollars

There's an Achewood arc going on right now where Todd is sober and for some reason sobriety has made him 2x his normal height.

If capitalism really gives consumers what they want then why has Disney not resumed big-screen Muppet adaptations of classic literature?

I'm sorry but the best comparison for Wicked is that it's Solo with singing. It is absolutely wild how many things they try to explain the origin of that really didn't need to be explained. There's an explanation of how the good witch loses her sleeves

Forgive me for signal boosting ai by hating on it, but I find it very interesting that the menu boards are clearly screens, showing different sizes of text and no artifacts of physical interchangeable letters.

Watched Magic Schoolbus with my kid and they're inside a kid's digestive system, and they had to do a special maneuver and get him to burp them out, specifically because they don't want to go out his ass, and I'm like, you're in his colon standing by a turd, why is the anus where you draw the line?

I think it's kind of satisfying that Republicans are about to find out how well a "we don't have anything to offer, but you MUST vote against THAT guy!" campaign goes.
