America has a housing shortage. Every single housing proposal you see that is not "build more housing" will have the primary effect of pushing up the prices of existing housing, and is therefore, in reality, a plan to enrich current homeowners. In conclusion, build more housing.

I'll say again that this is little different from the gestapo going door to door rounding up Jews.
This week, I spoke with a St. Paul woman who told me ICE came to her door and asked her to report on her "Asian neighbors."

The Hmong community, the large majority of whom are in this country legally for decades now, is in hiding.

ICE keeps saying the people protesting it are being paid without any evidence, but we have receipts showing that the people *defending* ICE are absolutely being paid.

And yet we only hear lies about the former on cable news.
relevant to the debate over whether we should keep funding DHS without reforms and accountability for how out of control their spending is

A few months ago, ICE hired me

I didn't sign and submit any paperwork. I almost certainly failed the drug test. I'm real outspoken about my opposition to the Trump administration, and I am extremely googlable

And yet, there it was, in plain English. "Welcome to ICE!"

What happens when you do minimal screening before hiring agents, arming them, and sending them into the streets? We're all finding out.

Calling out the Minnesota National Guard would be consenting to their being ordered to active duty.

It would remove the one and only impediment to Trump and Hegseth being in charge of the Minnesota National Guard

My daughter's school in Richfield, MN (adjacent to Minneapolis) is closing tomorrow due of out-of-control federal agents. Fourth graders spent the week building walls of snow at recess to protect their classmates from ICE. This isn't about immigration enforcement, it's about terror.

The Star Tribune had an insane graphic about the presence of immigration enforcement in Minneapolis. There are more immigration officers in the metro right now than local police officers.

How is video of Renee Good's murder reaching working class & young Americans? Who knows, but the precipitous decline of traditional elite media (& its craven capitulation to anti-democracy forces) seems to be undermining elite control of the narrative.
This is incredible: 81% of working class and 83% of young voters have seen video of Renee Good's killing, per new data I've obtained. Majority of working class disapproves of ICE enforcement. ICE brutality is breaking through big time.

Let’s talk about abolishing ICE.

Very few people who say “abolish ICE” mean “abandon all immigration enforcement.” Rather, they mean “the structure of immigration enforcement is irretrievably broken and needs to be reorganized, just like we did 23 years ago when we created ICE.”

chatgpt ass idea with no plan for logistics, how about we use the badges and name tags already issued issued
I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.
