Bold and ahead of her time, she is celebrated for her sharp, feminist prose that challenged the gender norms and injustices of 17th-century Spain. Zayas is best known for her two collections of novellas: The Enchantments of Love (1637) and Disenchantments of Love (1647). In these stories—narrated mostly by women—she explored themes such as gender violence, the oppression of women, and the hypocrisy of male-dominated society. While writing within the popular framework of romantic fiction, she subverted expectations by giving women complex voices and condemning the societal structures that silenced them. Her work was widely read in her time but later fell into obscurity, only to be rediscovered by scholars and feminists centuries later. Today, María de Zayas is hailed as a proto-feminist writer who dared to speak truth to power, using literature to advocate for justice, autonomy, and the rights of women.

Let me explain...⬇️ During the event in the East Room, DJT indicated the future entrance for a new ballroom being built on the site of the now-demolished East Wing of the WH. He told the audience: “In about 2 years from now, we’ll use a much bigger room … and it’ll be right here,” suggesting the entrance to the new ballroom will be in the footprint of the historic East Room. DJT has repeatedly said the WH needs a larger entertaining space and has complained that the East Room — currently the largest room in the residence — is too small, holding only about 200 people. Construction of the planned 90,000-sq-foot ballroom — announced in July 2025 — began with the unexpected demolition of the East Wing last month. The project, expected to cost around $300M (according to DJT) and funded by private donations, is intended to host large state events (~900 guests). Last month DJT had made brief mention the East Room itself could be repurposed as a pre-function space: a place where guests will “mingle, sip cocktails and eat hors d’oeuvres” before being led into the ballroom. He also said a set of windows in the East Room could be removed to create a direct passageway to and from the new structure. By pointing out an entrance location through the East Room — a central ceremonial space of the Executive Residence — DJT's remarks basically suggest that, at minimum, the new ballroom may require alterations deep into the historic main WH building, NOT just the demolished wing. Preservation experts and watchdogs have raised concerns about oversight, review processes, and the potential impact on an iconic national landmark.

This... is genuinely a bombshell that is not getting enough attention. Among Epstein's emails that were released is one exchange from 2018 between him and the former Prime Minister of Norway, Thorbjorn Jagland. In the emails, Epstein states that he had been giving advice to the former Russian Ambassador to the UN, Vitaly Churkin, on how to deal with Trump. "He understood trump after our conversations." He then tells Jagland “I think you might suggest to putin that lavrov can get insight on talking to me...” (referring to Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov). For context, these emails are only a month before Trump's infamous meeting with Putin in Helsinki where he told the media he believed the former KGB Spy over his own intelligence officials. There has been many rumours that Epstein was working for a foreign intelligence agencies. Most people assumed that meant Israel.... this would make a LOT more sense.
