Incredible, on-the-ground reporting from @gabydvj.bsky.social. It's easy to embrace the triumphalist "Minnesotans fought back" narrative, but the reality is that the Trump administration has done long-term damage
ICE may have lost the battle for public opinion, and its operation may be hampered by local pushback, but it has succeeded in one respect: It has instilled terror in Minnesota’s immigrant communities, forcing them into the shadows.

My takes are second guessing normal behavior.
The FAA was responsible and followed the script of what you need to do when you have undeclared/careless laser use. Consider it was a surprise to them too.
DOD acted normal with “on range” behavior. That goes badly anywhere else.

i both believe that there are some types of things that LLMs do that are useful and that it's patently absurd to say there's a 10% chance LLMs take away all white collar jobs and that we should act accordingly
I'm not even saying that's the most *likely* possibility, but it's just very clear that the likelihood of that outcome as increased and even if there's, like, a 1 in 10 change that "AI replaces most to all white collar jobs in 10 years" that's an *enormous* risk to the social order!
