Importing over from Twitter this shirt my wife made for our kids. It was made for my daughter when she was one year old. She's grown out of it, but it now fits my one year old son.

every republican president destroys the economy
2025 is now, officially, the worst year for job creation outside of recession since 2003.

Mamdani kind of gave the blueprint for how you can tie everything back to affordability without abandoning the moral stance on other issues or coming across as inauthentic, while also driving opinion rather than being subservient to it. Congressional Dems are failing on every point of this.

Bluesky certainly doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt here, but this is legitimately just their search function sucking. Like, they aren’t also trying to keep Premier League results from us.

Both Republicans and Democrats have spent the last decade reinforcing to him that he can get away with anything and will never be held accountable. Democratic leadership reiterated that message today. That’s is how we got here.
Asked “if there were any limits on his global powers, Mr. Trump said: “Yeah, there is one thing. My own morality. My own mind. It’s the only thing that can stop me.”

Giving up your leverage before the fight even begins is very perfectly Chuck Schumer.
Chuck Schumer rejecting out of hand the one point of leverage he has, the one that was actually working really well last year until he caved, is the most Chuck Schumer he can be.

Nobody has proven themselves to be as pathetic as their critics claim as Tim Walz. Turns out you can just bully him into not running for re-election by spreading medieval antisemitic canards about a minority group in his state, then shoot a constituent in the face and he’ll do nothing.
"Don't give them what they want" + "Let's start healing" really sounds like a complete surrender. Fuck man

This is *definitely* how you behave when you're trying to bring every resource to bear, rather than trying to cover up the unlawful behavior of your own personnel.
According to my sources, the FBI was initially open to a concurrent investigation with the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (the state agency that would do this investigation).

Trumpy U.S. Attorney Daniel Rosen heard about this and intervened, barring the FBI from cooperating with local police.

If everyone just lets this go, that's the ballgame. Anytime they want to kill someone they'll just say the FBI is handling it.
The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says they've been informed by the FBI that US DOJ has said FBI will solely lead the investigation into Renee Nicole Good's killing by a federal officer. State investigators no longer have access to "case materials, scene evidence/investigative interviews"

Every one of them is exactly what we say they are.
Right after Renée Good’s disgusting murder, a ICE goon was filmed kicking her memorial candles.
Absolutely vile.

Is Trump a fascist? In methods, mostly yes. But in worldview/aims, he's a different sort of danger, more an Iron Age chieftain. The rules: 1. as ever, only shout at me after reading it 2. don't make stupid assumption that if I don't think he's a fascist, he's fine as.ft.com/r/69eefb60-e...

This is literally what they do whenever a Black person is killed by police. No matter how solid the evidence is, they will keep pushing that lie, not just to poison the conversation and make sure the killer walks free, but to reassert the political idea that these people deserve to be killed.
The shooting is shocking enough but the government's response is off the charts when you consider that this incident is forensically documented on video.
January 8, 2026 at 1:41 PM
Abolish ICE doesn’t go nearly far enough. The retribution against these fascist fucks needs to be so severe that no one who observes it ever tries this shit again.
