Bluesky for Chaos.
Decided to pay off my iPhone Air loan today, and I'll return it after the new year for a Pro.

This was a valiant experiment, but lead to such crippling anxiety over battery life -- especially when it was under 35% by 1pm most days -- that meant I began to resent the stupid thing.

Good try, Apple

Notre Dame opting out of the Pop-Tart Bowl makes them moral cowards, but also worse: obstinately, repugnantly soulless. You cannot opt out of the Pop-Tart Bowl any more than you can opt out of the first day of spring, or the love of your mother, or life-saving grace.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden or Alice In Chains.

Very glad that I continue to have a face for radio!
Virtually all of the podcasts I subscribe to became worse this year because they pivoted to video. Kind of reminds me of the year when every blog decided to trust Facebook as their primary distribution system. You know, the year before blogs started dying off.
‘Painful to hear!’ How podcasts’ rush to video is turning them into dreadful listens

The thing is:

They CAN do these things. There's literally nothing stopping them from doing it.

Congress would have to protest, and they won't. States will have to sue, and they will have to fight for YEARS to get their due.

The laws say one thing while behavior says another.
1 - the exec branch can't decline to spend $ Congress appropriated

2- the fed govt can't use federal $ to extort states over policy/political disagreements

3-the fed govt can't use federal $ to impose conditions unrelated to the funding program

4-the fed govt can't use federal $ to coerce states
Sean Duffy on blue states: "What I can do is I can pull their money. That's the leverage I do have ... I guarantee you that the federal taxpayer is not going to fund their roads and bridges and their systems when they are putting illegals on the roads."

Got to hear the Biebl Ave Maria tonight, and that piece ALWAYS hits. The Sancta Maria at the end, and that Amen, are two of the finest moments in choral music. They always bring on the goose bumps and the tears.
