You cannot have heart eyes for the Obama years and not see Mike Brown, Tamir Rice, Freddie Gray, Sandra Bland, etc as being a systemic problem. I don't want a return to "less abuse" just like you wouldn't be ok with your spouse agreeing to beating your ass fewer times a month. The whole thing stinks

Always! What do ppl think stop-and-frisk is like? Police targeting Black bodies? Or the Jim Crow era, where just your color is cause enough to be lynched, or slavery, etc. It's been terrorism on us since jump. Now, I try to assist others who are very paranoid now that they're the targets.

I reject any definition of "American" that casts Frederick Douglass as less American than the people who enslaved him, or Sitting Bull as less American than the people who stole his home and drove him from it, or George Takei or Jim Thorpe or Ruby Bridges as less American than their oppressors.
