I'm still working on new stuff, so for now (as an intro) check out the #ttrpg I made for Genesys based on the HALO games:

The first rule of Final Fantasy Tactics: shoot the summoner first

My wokest opinion is that civilians should be prohibited from owning semi-automatic firearms
my wokest opinion is that land acknowledgements are fine. people knowing a little bit about the land you're on, even if one isn't invested in a land back project, is not particularly worse than the status quo, even if one comes by this info in a way that is somewhat cringe and forced
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Every location has a picket line in front of it. Don’t cross the line.
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Sir, who are you and how did you get a copy of my dream journal
You never see, like, a hard sci-fi Redwall. Like, this cute little stoat has a robot arm and pilots a mech the size of an office trash can.

Proud to say never have, never will ✋

Just let me know when the Butlerian Jihad gets rolling
Hands up if you've never used Chat GPT ✋

(I feel like Dozer and Tank in The Matrix right now - at first I didn't use it because, rather ironically, I'm lazy and stubborn (peak Taurus energy there) - literally no, don't make me use the new thing I don't wanna. Now I'm glad I didn't 😅)
Probably a good way to tell right now if the job you’re applying for is run by absolute dumbfucks is to ask if they’re using AI.

Never did 9, 12, or 20

Okay fine, I never did 17 either, unless you're willing to count MapQuest directions
I have never done (9) (it's anti-social), (13) (Blockbuster never operated in my country), or (20) (those things were *expensive*).

I am teh oldz.

Few have done it as good as Osamu Tezuka

None have done it better
Today is the birthday of artist, writer, animator, & producer Osamu Tezuka (Nov. 3, 1928-Feb. 9, 1989).

I am going to take a massive swing here and say that anyone who rolls off the Harvard Law conveyor belt is not perfect at all and is categorically unfit for public office

whelp, I’ll be thinking about the Steven Soderbergh movie about Ben Solo until the day I die, I guess. we could’ve had it all.

Also: please stop putting cheese in places where it doesn't belong

Signed, a guy with a dairy allergy who would like to be less paranoid
If you want cheese on your beef sandwich, go to Philly :-D

Seriously, though, historically speaking, this is not a cheesy sandwich, and there's a reason for that. When an IB is really good -- seasoned well, fresh roasted beef, good jus that isn't some bouillon bullshit -- it's about the BEEF...

This isn't the point of this thread, which is a great one, but—

AAA managed to get my name wrong in their system by mixing up my given and family names. And this is despite them reading the information off my driver's license!

It is extremely easy for ignorance to lead to bureaucratic fuck-ups
Anyway do you know how HARD it is to find someone whose name gets spelled differently every time they show up, and maybe the family name gets put in the personal name section or vice versa?

I wrote my 20 page undergrad thesis the night before it was due. I finished the conference version I had to present while sitting in the audience waiting for my turn. I was completely winging it for the Q&A portion—I hadn't even had time to print out a copy of my own paper

I got an A and my degree
I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

I think @angryblacklady.blacksky.app is absolutely right about this: white people aren't really surprised about all the fascism, they're just performing ignorance to avoid taking responsibility and doing what they need to in order to fight this
White People’s Performative Ignorance Is Exhausting—Opinion
Disbelief over authoritarianism in America isn’t a cutesy personality trait. It’s a confession: You haven’t been paying attention.
