This is where I write something which refers to a single ep of television that aired in 2009 -- then never change it for the life of the platform.

She/Her
Minneapolis, MN
Pinned
When I have time, don't know when, I'm going to write a thread that explains this is/was my TV account(for ~17yrs)
I hope my far flung friends mute what words they need to not be bothered by all the local politics I'm posting. I feel like the upcoming elections are existentially important so I must.

You know who has Universal Healthcare provided by the government? Folks in Argentina do and the US taxpayers sent them $40 Billion Dollars so they can keep it. How are your premiums doing?

Aside from everything else they do, these are the good people who opened warm doors to neighbors during the sub-zero nights last year.

Here's an idea!

Karoline Leavitt (age 29) should do the press conferences with her husband (age 60), just to remind Americans that there's nothing creepy at all about this, nothing creepy at all, nothing creepy

It's been a week. I've tried to sleep through most of it. Literally. I can sleep an infinite amount bc of narcolepsy, the same reason all of that sleep doesn't make me feel any less tired. I rarely indulge, bc it's pointless, but I know it's been helping heal my incisions.

Waiting for pathology. ⏳

I rarely do births for #OnThisDay, but this one is special:
Nov 13, 1833: "Father of Minneapolis Parks" Charles M. Loring is born. In the 1880s he begins acquiring the city's lakes and shorelines, and along with Horace Cleveland creates the finest public urban park system in the United States.

Official update from Bluesky.

(People in the comments are clarifying that she was quoting a Johnny Cash lyric in response to an article about Johnny Cash.)
The account owner of @sarahkendzior.bsky.social was suspended for 72 hours for expressing a desire to shoot the author of an article. The post, made 11/10, stated: "I want to shoot the author of this article just to watch him die." 1/2

as a kid I honestly thought that the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald was about something that happened in the 1800s, dying in a maritime disaster on Lake Superior just does not seem like the kind of thing that can happen to people who heard Supertramp on the radio
