It's almost like when you tax the rich in a place you get to make that place a better place and even the rich just looking out the windows of their limos at most of that place in passing prefer to think "oh, that looks nice" rather than "I must prepare my bunker for the impending apocalypse"
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:

This whole thread is eyepopping- artists and writers, you need this, too. I have seen some of this in my art history classes but not all.

Humans are just AMAZING.

Why would you settle for AI slop when we can do shit like THIS
Long ago on the hell site I made long list of historically interesting things to use in dnd ttrpgs and I'll start dragging them over here starting with

I met a family who had a daughter planning to attend college for ornithology, they had built a pigeon coop so she could study them... they let me hold a baby; it was the size of a grapefruit, the consistency of a soft warm bag of soup & looked like a bewildered old man. 😂

I read a recent study
in Nature on:
“Mapping brain changes
in post-COVID-19
cognitive decline
via FDG PET hypometabolism
and EEG slowing,”
and while the study focused
on the way the brain changes
post-COVID,
these changes make clear
that none of us are
post-pandemic.

QANON CULTIST IN 2017: "In this 1,879 page thread I will unravel the byzantine system of codewords and phrases the global elite use to mask their pedophile cabal."

JEFFREY EPSTEIN WRITING AN EMAIL AT THE SAME TIME: "helo its me jeff had fun cmmitting sex crimes wit u lst weeknd"
pretty funny in retrospect that QAnon hinged on the idea that powerful elites at the highest levels of government were smart enough to talk in code when sending emails to each other about their despicable crimes

There's no better feeling than hearing your pets laughing and chatting to you. Every rat keeper should have a bat detector.
🐀Male and female rats like to be tickled differently - males prefer rougher play.
🤣How do we know? Rats produce ultrasonic giggles that can be monitored with a bat detector.
🧪Why is this relevant? To improve lab animal welfare.

Ah, to tickle rats for a living...♥️
