The whole Mcmillen debacle is absolutely fascinating to me mostly because none of it is actually new. He's always been an ultra centrist try to get along with everyone guy. His budding with Notch wasn't exactly secret. His games never actually took that deep of a dive into their actual themes.

Throw Sol Ring in the trash while you're at it. Every single game gets worse by that thing entering turn 1-2. "Iconic to the format" is a meaningless appeal because any broken card would become iconic to any format because everyone would be playing it.
