Hey, are there any black artists with #ttrpg stock art? Asking for a friend, who is me. (Stock art only please! If I could commission something from an artist specifically, I 100% would.)

And finally, another for our dog peeps. That heeler girl that someone shot in the head? She's out of surgery and at the rescue. They raised most of it, but Emi had to cover the last ~$200. You can help with that here: pawstothewall.org#donate.

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.
The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.
The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.
Why?
It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

A question for anyone who'd know (ag, fiber folks?):
Linen uses less water than cotton, correct?
And you'd harvest it not that differently than hay or straw?
So why is cotton preferred? Just historical precedent? Processing? Dye? Outdated perceptions of difficult care?

The U.S. military is being used inside the United States. There's a lot we don't know about how, why, and under what authorities.
Today, Lawfare is launching a new project–which includes a tracker and a map–to follow where and how the military is being domestically deployed.

"We civil servants organized to help our colleagues face the hardship of the shutdown, we put up with the pain and our only request was to not be betrayed like this. Trade our pain, make it count."

Yes very much so. I think when the history of this era is written, the pandemic response will be an important inflection point in making a critical group of capital-owners fearful of any kind of rational response to collective problems.

in the United States we’ve created an institutional environment in which this is impossible, however.

(the polity does not remember what happened 2 weeks ago. this is why you had VA GOP winning 2021 the same year the GOP attempted a insurrection)
If the polity cannot remember what happened two weeks ago, every two weeks, then they deserve to have the Republic fall

On this eve of fifty Novembers
the winds still howl
the bell still tolls.
My breath turns heavy
as we drift into the long cold night.
The Fitzgerald stirs beneath.
I harbor their echoes
and cradle her steel.
My waves bear the sorrow
of all I have taken.
the winds still howl
the bell still tolls.
My breath turns heavy
as we drift into the long cold night.
The Fitzgerald stirs beneath.
I harbor their echoes
and cradle her steel.
