Kids these days don’t know how good they have it. Back in my day, if you were out of weed, good chance so were your friends and so was the weed guy. No weed for miles. Just had to wait for the next weed train from California. Could be days, weeks. No one knew when the weed train would roll into town

Around 2019/2020 I made an active choice to stop saying mean stuff about myself and treat myself like I’m my own best friend. Folks, it’s a game changer. The Council of me that live inside my head have never been happier with each other.
You will internalize all the mean stuff you say about yourself, even if you say it in jest. Good news: you can also pretend you're great and treat yourself with compassion and internalize that instead. Ask me how I know!

I love my cat and it really sucks he’s dying of cancer, but also I spend every waking hour being yelled at by him and it is making me a worse person

Crochet is such a strange skill set of mine because yes I CAN do it but each time I step away for more than a few months, I have to spend many minutes at the beginning of the next project figuring out what a simple stitch even looks like

On the train to/from Chicago there were so many Amish people, drunk dudes being good bros, a woman who talked to me about the spiritual retreat she was coming back from, strangers bonding over Magic the Gathering, and a woman regaling Amish men with tales of Olive Garden. 10/10 form of travel.

Zombie movies are scary because of the zombie factor but it's also scary to have unexpected guests. One minute, you're vacuuming the living room, the next minute you have to barricade your front door to stop hundreds of people yelling brains from ruining your carpet & trying to bite you.
