All this talk of community and accountability, so it’s unfortunate how little anyone mentions our diminishing conflict resolution skills or ability to navigate misunderstandings. We’ve learned to block, ostracize, run away, not ask or be asked questions, or consider how we contributed to a problem.

I'm not sure I could fully articulate the differences between a full-blown relationship, and a friends who are sweet on each other and fuck relationship, but I do know the differences are not that the friend one means you never talk about how you show up for each other or check-in on how things feel

This is something friends and I have discussed a few times. If you have a dx'ed mental illness (especially a mood, personality, or dissociative disorder), a criminal record, involuntary holds, wellness checks, etc. and there's documentation that feds can get hold of, there's some real anxiety here.

This is honestly the biggest problem with literally almost every industry. People cant afford games. People cant afford comics. People cant even afford decent clothes.

yeah seeing the "Minneapolis took off because the so-called 'activists' got out of the way and let normal people in" takes is really frustrating. that's not at all an accurate look at what's happening in Mpls or anywhere else. All these movements rely on cores of people who have experience.
Lots of regular degular, never-done-an-activism folks have been activated in recent months and are working alongside a bunch of seasoned, die-hard, been-tired-for-ten-years-or-more organizers, and you don't know all of those stories bc most people are moving with a bit of discretion in these times.

I work in tech support for a software company where we have Decagon AI that people hit before they reach us. I see the answers it spits out every single day. Trust me when I say that this dude and every other AI bro are completely and utterly full of shit.
