Dear everyone, this is delicious and you should eat it. (Vegetarian? Chickpeas would be great too.)
I woke up thinking that the keema from the cottage pie would be good in the Samosa Chaatdish:

In Icelandic we have 'Ókind' for monster. But the translation is un-sheep. So everything not a sheep is dangerous.

I know it’s too much to expect them to know their history, but if the American Revolution had a motto, it definitely would not have been “immigrants go home.”

It would have been “get your fucking soldiers out of our cities.”
America... boy, I dunno.

I, an actual human adult, would have LOVED to have something like this before my first MRI.
Lego MRI scanner set (donated to hospitals) a big help for kids who need scans:

"more than 1 million children globally have used the sets to help them prepare...96% of healthcare professionals said the model helps to reduce children's anxiety, and 46% reported a lesser need to use sedation"
How Lego MRI scanner sets are reducing anxiety in children undergoing medical treatment
Lego's MRI scanner play sets, which launched in 2023, are significantly reducing anxiety and the use of sedation in children, according to new research.

Yes, this means you! Some states, like Minnesota, have same day registration, but many do not.
My husband’s ballot came in the mail. Mine did not. I looked into why and…

I was purged from the voting roll.

PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION.

Saying again because this is SO TRUE from my experiences with mental health stuff.

OF COURSE you are able to shove the problem aside and keep going. You don't have much of a choice. But doing that sucks away the energy you need AND DESERVE to live your life and maybe even find a bit of joy.
A lot of people with mental health issues talk and share things with me because I'm fairly open about mine

And people with anxiety, you might need to hear this

Because people will describe the most debilitating anxiety and then proceed to say how it's fine and Not That Bad Actually

Hey digipres folks! Any of you know any good near-duplicate identification tools? Right now I'm mostly focused on images (University photographer files) but I'm interested in any type of content if you've got a favorite! GUIs preferred but I know enough Python to make a menace of myself as well

Happy 71st Birthday to Ruby Bridges, who at the age of 6 desegregated the New Orleans public schools.

She’s younger than 30 senators and our last two presidents—and only 7 years older than Barack Obama.

The past isn’t past.
