We spoke to deputies and soldiers at a local pub. Here's what they really think of the Sheriff and King John.

I've read about a third of this list! Have you read Station 11 yet? I just finished it. I think you'd like it.
As faculty, I think we get things backwards if we see LLMs as our enemy. They are our students' enemy. We just happen to care about our students. Insofar as we see the goal of liberal education as cultivating habits of thought that support a free life, we are our students' allies against these tools

Congratulations Jamila!

(I got to be the 1000th person to like this! that’s a lot of support 🥰)

She’s immensely crafty and likes dogs. What better qualities speak to one’s virtue :)

Barbara is awesome!

This is good material. Nostalgic meme use

Support is comparatively low and exists alongside components of citizenship that value effort. In a positive sum world, this suggests good citizenship is many things. But belonging is zero sum where immigration is politicized.

In 2019, I ran a conjoint experiment asking Brits about attributes of a good citizen. We see supporters *of all parties* valuing nativity as an important characteristic of good citizenship. I suspect these views have only calcified in time.

Sidebar: How can this wording be the "gold standard?"

Hard to tell from available data (and the question wording feels like a logic puzzle) but support for nativity is across voting intention:

Sitting here willing the Charles Line (connecting Northern line north branches to Wembley/Met line in North London) into existence

Hahahahahahagagahah

Is it seasonal depression or have I spent a week with my in-laws?

I think a lot about what remorse looks like today. No one has to think she is moderate (she doesn't claim to be) but can we let her express regret? Does she need personal (public?) apologies to David Hogg & AOC?

How do folks climb off the cliff edge? What does that path look like? It has to exist.

HAHAA this is my most Victorian opinion: sumo oranges are a true gift

I think I need to say that I — a Princeton Univ. Press author that also co-wrote a Covid-19 book on how politics failed us— didn’t review this manuscript. Anyway, if you want to know why over a million people died in a tragedy of choice, see Pandemic Politics: press.princeton.edu/books/hardco...

What is the margarita to winter ale ratio? Rabbi Hillel states you shall measure by the length of gulp and bitterness of aftertaste. Shammai judged by sweetness.

Reviewing a manuscript in my childhood bedroom

Can’t tell if that’s a slight on Debbie or not…

”Is this an argument supported by observable evidence or a belief supported by faith and vibes” is something I regularly say to my students, children, parents, husband, friends…. I’m a delight
