The whole sector is a complete bloody mess. Rumour has it that Simmonds won't last much longer but she was always going to be a one-term MP, entering parliament with a single issue agenda that she's made a complete balls-up of.

Husband has also lost his job in the vocational education sector - finishes at Christmas. One slightly satisfying note is that the person who presided over changes to the sector resulting in huge redundancies is also rumoured to be for the chop. Am sure she will be fine, though 🫤

Damn, accidentally made frittata in a pan with a plastic handle so instead of my usual shove-it-in-the-oven-until-it's-cooked-through approach, I'm going to have to do the shuffle-it-on-to-a-plate-and-back-into-the-pan method. Wish me luck.
