It really is!

Well this was a delightful few hours well spent on a Saturday morning.

Ughhh, adverts for Jonathan Ayling's charter school are popping up on local Pōneke Facebook sites 😡

Oh is that Australia to the left with us underneath?

But, the most pressing question, is Aotearoa on the globe?

God, I hate the way he talks.

Cricket squared.

What an embarrassing headline.

I remember menz really laying into me in the bad place when I questioned the impact that major public sector job cuts would have on the tax take and economy. Oh well. www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...
Government finances worse than expected as tax take falls
Treasury figures show a bigger deficit than forecast.

The whole sector is a complete bloody mess. Rumour has it that Simmonds won't last much longer but she was always going to be a one-term MP, entering parliament with a single issue agenda that she's made a complete balls-up of.

Or get it through your local library 😁

Wonder how much they are being paid while there are mass redundancies of ISB staff?

To be fair, I think the instructions were that the essay should be 650 words. So at least she had that right! Her argument was offensive, trite, and full of poor academic practice

Hmmm, not keen on cheering on someone who wants to replace library workers with volunteers, however much he rips into Luxon.

Not librarians, though - their work can be done by volunteers, ay?

Ah, we would have welcomed you but I know it's not easy financially.

I'm sorry. The Philistines are in charge who know the cost of everything but the value of nothing.

Husband has also lost his job in the vocational education sector - finishes at Christmas. One slightly satisfying note is that the person who presided over changes to the sector resulting in huge redundancies is also rumoured to be for the chop. Am sure she will be fine, though 🫤

I'd like to avoid it too.

Wellington Boys College too, apparently, although I haven't seen a public announcement from them.

It amazes me how easy it is to get these busy politicians on the blower.

Pay equity featured heavily in my response.

Good tip!

Actually, I may try the put-under-the-grill-with-the-handle-sticking-out technique.

Damn, accidentally made frittata in a pan with a plastic handle so instead of my usual shove-it-in-the-oven-until-it's-cooked-through approach, I'm going to have to do the shuffle-it-on-to-a-plate-and-back-into-the-pan method. Wish me luck.

Ms Stanford, why do you believe parents should not have clear information about their school’s position on Te Tiriti?

A friend told us their cat walked in carrying a still-warm pork chop.
