I do not think anybody is prepared for how quickly and how thoroughly things we've taken for granted our whole lives could change
Look, you may think the Mail is probably exaggerating but the news side of Telegraph is legit: if Euros are considering this, there's smoke
European Union preparing sanctions on US companies if President Trump rejects EU proposal to deploy European military force to Greenland as an alternative to US control.-Telegraph

I think we’re at the Rubicon.

Who knows, of course, but it feels like what happens over the next few weeks will define the rest of our lives.
Trump 'orders US army chiefs to draw up plan to invade Greenland'
Donald Trump has ordered his special forces commanders to draw up a plan for the invasion of Greenland - but is being resisted by senior military figures, The Mail on Sunday has learned.

I'd like to hear less "they're trying to divide us" and more "these people hate America and everything it stands for."

Whenever Tom Emmer says something outrageous - which he does regularly - I think about how Mark Dayton beat him in the 2010 gubernatorial race by just 8,770 votes. A huge turning point for Minnesota.
Emmer claims anti-ICE protesters in Minnesota are "not peaceful and not appropriate" and calls Frey a "boy toy mayor"

Unacceptable. A road — possibly associated with Tren de Aragua — left unpaved by Minnesota radicals weaponized itself against two of our courageous officers, causing one to discharge his firearm in self-defense.

We stand by our brave boys.

I’m begging Democratic leaders to understand that outlining and forcefully articulating their vision for accountability now is an electoral strategy.
"The Democrats’ plan: TBD. There has been a lot of rhetoric, but ... the caucus is largely shying away from using its leverage in the appropriations process and threatening another government shutdown."

if a Democrat had said “I can’t wait to host the oil companies at my 90,000 square foot golden self-commemorative ballroom that I tore down the White House and solicited $300 million in bribes to build” it would literally be considered the worst scandal and gaffe in human history
REPORTER: The Capital Planning Commission is concerned the 89,000 square foot ballroom is going to dwarf the rest of the rest of the WH. Do you worry about that?

TRUMP: No no. People love the ballroom. We need it. If we would've had the ballroom today, we could've had all the oil companies there.

I feel very strongly that more people need to be calling Donald Trump a lying piece of shit.
You lying piece of shit. I chaired the Minnesota DFL for all three of your runs here. I watched you lose. Three times. Minnesota never bought your con. And now, as Chair of the DNC, I’m looking forward to ending Trumpism for good in 2028 — not with lies, but with votes. Again.
Trump: "I feel I won Minnesota. I think I won it all three times. Nobody has won it since Richard Nixon won it many many years ago. I won it all three times in my opinion. It's a corrupt state ... I did so well in that state. The people were crying every time after."

Stuff like this is energizing to the left and is crushing to people on the right (who succeed by looking serious and being feared). If it's going to be done it has to be done pretty well, but if it can be done pretty well it absolutely should be done.

Maybe I'm just an idiot, but it sure seems like a DNI who can't be entrusted with operational plans shouldn't be your DNI.

I do believe that no one should ever date or marry a lawyer.
That is clearly a list of women who have rejected you, but ok buddy whatever you say

Every time an elected Democrat opens their mouth we should be hearing words like "madman" and "starting a nuclear war."
This is something Dems should legit shut down the government over. If he wants to destroy NATO, he can do it with zero dollars and zero cents in government funding.

And nothing has been learned from this experience.
Republicans were very clear during the election that this is what they believed, & that this was what they would act upon when in office. Editors & tastemakers discounted it all, because it was ridiculous. Everything was fine. No one would blow everything up for the sake of delusion. Now here we are
According to the White House, this is the "true" timeline of January 6th.

Democrats have very few formal levers of government to pull. This is one of them. If elected Democrats aren't using it to demonstrate to the country Republicans' incompetence, cruelty, and corruption, really, what are they there for?
Chuck Schumer rejecting out of hand the one point of leverage he has, the one that was actually working really well last year until he caved, is the most Chuck Schumer he can be.

Sylvester Turner died more than ten months ago. It's an outrage that his seat hasn't been filled. Just another way democracy is being taken away from us.
The current breakdown of the House is 218 Republican-213 Democrats, with 2 GOP vacancies (LaMalfa & MTG) & two Dem vacancies (Turner and Sherrill).
