A bunch of new people are following me! That's cool!

I'm transmasc and nonbinary. I have ADHD, heavy on the H. I post about music, fancy sports, and my cats. I have been extremely online for 30 years.

I work in education research. Government funding is good, actually.

In this house, @sandwichwife.bsky.social and I celebrate New Year's Eve by eating cheese and forcing each other to watch TV shows that we would otherwise not torture each other with. Cocktail photos and withering reviews of anime to come until 2026 arrives!

If you've been using "fujoshi" to describe people in fanfic and romance novel culture, and you don't have much history in those cultures, please knock it off. It's sexist, it has derogatory overtones, and it's specific to fans of East Asian media. Thank you, and carry on.

We are in the midst of the largest decline in violent crime in the history of crime stats....across all jurisdictions, across political affiliations, and across demographics

Please remember this during the midterm elections when you will hear that "America is on fire"
I count 10 cities in 2025 that are on track to have the fewest murders since at least 1970. Newark is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1956 (though only have data through Oct this year) and San Francisco is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1942.
