All you need to know about Chicago is this: we put our literal shit into the Chicago River, which flowed into Lake Michigan, which is where we got our drinking water, and where a lesser city would’ve said “let’s stop throwing our shit into the river” we reversed the flow of the goddamn river instead

Overall, this #SkateAmerica men's event was a great reminder that there are multiple paths to win in this sport. I'm so happy for Aymoz, who has been crying for the past 10 minutes. (Progressive pride flag on his jacket makes it sweeter!)

I watched the first minute of Kazuki Tomono's FS through my fingers, but once he shook off those cursed 4Ts, the program was lovely. Great music choice - memorable with a nice emotional build - and he interprets it gracefully. #SkateAmerica

Kevin Aymoz' jumps didn't have the same snap as last night, but his performance sure did. He builds speed out of nowhere and stacks his elements in such fast succession that he looks unhurried, with half the program open for showy, creative choreo. #SkateAmerica
