Nevertheless, she persisted, bitching the entire way.

Queer, neurodivergent, frequently hyperbolic, kind of odd. Doesn't owe you an argument. She/her. @Jezi_Belle at the old place.

Dem leadership: changing this is a difficult process, you fool. You rube. You utter infant. Give us between $5 and $50

Mamdani, wiping grease off his hands: So it turns out there's a switch on this machine that puts it into either orphan-shredding mode or free school lunch mode. Just had to flip it

The Paris Prosecutor's office announced they are leaving X by stating they raided their offices.

What a way to leave X.

There’s a cameo sale Friday, Feb 6 - Thursday, Feb 12.

Every Cameo will be $50, so, if you want me to spread the old Valentine’s love to your ding dong partner, I’ll be a cheapie (somewhat) gift!

You have to book between 10am on the 6th and Midnight on the 12th.

The ICE surge in Minnesota has meant dogs losing homes. If you can foster Murphy, get in touch at the email listed.

Professional athletes are being advised not to leave the hotel or go anywhere without their passports while visiting Minnesota.

This is not a country that can safely host international events like the World Cup.

Boycotting is not even a political question anymore. It is a basic issue of safety.
The Montreal Canadiens are playing the Minnesota Wild in Minneapolis tonight. The players have been recommended to stay in/eat at the hotel, take the team bus to the arena, and carry passports.

Perhaps we shouldn't be hosting the World Cup and the Olympics...

I’m sorry but what did libertarians think that the anonymous money laundering racism coin that you could only functionally use for illicit activity was doing other than this, exactly

If you think of universal basic income as just "more money," you aren't understanding it and what makes it so different and effective. The fact it comes at a regular frequency is a key factor. When you know that whatever happens next month, you can still buy food, that's a huge deal.

It's STABILITY

I deeply underestimated the spoons this would take when I scheduled it to go this long

I am having a lovely time but I am so tired

Good news: my new robot litter box arrived *before* I leave the house for six hours so I don't have to worry about it sitting outside. (Although it's way too fucking big and heavy to get stolen, and it's in the manufacturer's box so it's clear what it is.)

Ready to go, 15 minutes before I get picked up. Which is gonna get us there an hour and 15 minutes before the event "starts," which is WAY more time than I actually needed to set up, lol.

But my neighbors and cousins will get to meet and chat, and hopefully that will kill some time.

Seriously, pick a mythological tradition—any of them, any where in the world—and you'll find the worst of punishments are reserved for those that violate the laws of hospitality

Blood feuds get put on hold until the degenerates that do this kind of thing get buried

You do *not* do this
Thinking about whoever said that by accepting a meal from people and then arresting them ICE agents broke a cultural taboo that was invented by, like, the first humans to set up a tent

We really have come a LONG way in a pretty brief amount of time as a culture on “oh, maybe it’s actually creepy and gross to incessantly perv on teenage girls everywhere all the time.”
there were multiple different countdown clocks until the Olsen twins turned 18

reddit had its infamous 'jailbait' community online until late 2011

all of this shit was just out in the open, it was awful
I feel like maybe it’s a function of everyone online being born in 2002 but I don’t think most people realize how openly and explicitly pedophilic american culture was until like… maybe 10 years ago

Any kind of national service should, in light of the long experience of TFA, Americorps, etc., be explicitly Trading Places in outlook. Poor kids get internships at Biglaw firms. Rich kids learn street smarts at random 7-11s and Wawas. Wouldn't do much but it would be a good bit.
“Compelled national service as a means of healing the country” is an idea that will never die.

Have any of these people reconciled their views with the existence of Tulsi Gabbard?

“Service” is often an illusion.
