a concept i talk about a lot with the guy i'm seeing is "fast thinking", which is like low-grade, shallow, and easily disposable pop intellectualism. key hallmarks include focusing on discourse over substance, not being able to separate similar form from different content, and "annoying = evil"
legitimately i think one of the core failings of centrist pundits is that they have come to define themselves by what they are against--to chart their intellectual course by who they think is being annoying this week--instead of by recourse to genuine principle

I don’t know at this point if there is enough evident to say “the New York Times, institutionally, was a co-conspirator with Epstein” but it’s basically beyond doubt at this point that at least one employee of the paper were co-conspirators and used their position at the paper to help affect that

Switched to Qobuz a few weeks ago after over a decade on Spotify and it seems perfectly fine. If you think you have to keep Spotify for some reason (playlists/laved library, platform compatibility, etc) you are probably wrong. Most services are just as good now and moving things over is easy peasy
