The hivemind seems like an alluring mental state, though. I bet going through it once would make you crave it to death.

I've only seen a few people who don't understand what the hivemind is supposed to be, but the way people misunderstand it kinda justifies this show spending 9 episodes for the main characters to learn basic things and how cooked humanity is.

I think one of the problems Pluribus has is that it's way too philosophical and there's no need to show anything, and by design showing things can't be too interesting (The hive behave like machines and never talk amongst themselves), so it comes across as boring and play-ish.
