This is one of the more strange indictments of American health insurance being tied to employers really.

Our community-run art gallery flooded. Building management will get the space back into habitable condition, but we lost a bunch of stuff and we're closed for who knows how long.

We're a tiny volunteer org that spends like $20K a year, so a $3,000 emergency is a big problem. Please help us out:

If you never heard or read anything Terry Boers said or wrote about Chicago sports or the human condition in general, that’s your loss. Unique isn’t a good enough word. He’d be the first to tell you he was imperfect, but the city has had very few who could claim to be a heavier hitter.
RIP Terry Boers. A brilliant guy who made sports radio in Chicago the unserious, hilarious, yet sharply critical place it had to be.

We’ve covered lots of losing local teams on the back page of this paper.

But none with a record as bad as the Chicago DOJ during Operation Midway Blitz:

0 convictions

11 charges dropped

3 no-billed cases

1 jury acquittal

i’ve shifted my opinion from

“sean mcdermott firing was weird”

to

“sean mcdermott was done dirty”

to

“sean mcdermott might be the greatest coach ever for holding all these insane people together and winning through the complete nonsense we didnt see”

This must be weird news to see if you’re one of the literally hundreds or even thousands of university administrators who preemptively censored faculty, scrubbed websites, changed the names of centers, etc.

Ben Luhmann, who filmed this, is one of the two high schoolers from a conservative Christian family I rode along with in Chicago when they were searching for ICE agents there.

When I asked him how his faith informed his efforts to document ICE/DHS, he told me this. religionnews.com/2025/11/25/h...
