In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

Want to feel old? 2075 is as far away from now as today is from the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

And in 2075, we'll still be listening to Gordon Lightfoot.

Buried in the Doug Ford govt's fall budget are changes that would remove parts of Wasaga beach from provincial protection. As I reported in August, those parts are 60% of the world’s longest freshwater beach and the main nesting area for the endangered piping plover: thenarwhal.ca/wasaga-beach...

as a kid I honestly thought that the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald was about something that happened in the 1800s, dying in a maritime disaster on Lake Superior just does not seem like the kind of thing that can happen to people who heard Supertramp on the radio

Anyone keeping a tally on the billions wasted by the UCP?

Pipeline gamble: 1.3B
Dynalife: 97M
Turkish Tylenol: 80M
Coal settlements: 238M
Cancelled rail: 1.3B
Superlab cancellation: 35M
War Room: $120M

Heck, just scratched the surface. One blunder can take down a government. Flood the zone.
If the $238 million (and possibly more) lawsuit payout of taxpayers money over the idiotic coal mining policy flip flop of this government isn’t enough

Jason Kenney works for the law firm involved…

Alberta, watch what America is doing right now - with their refusal to support funding of the Affordable Care Act.

If Danielle Smith has her way with the medical system, we, too, will be facing $1000s in monthly premiums just to visit doctors.
She wants it that way.

So I feel honoured to lend them a hand by using our platform to help shine a spotlight on Ksi Lisims and PRGT.

But they need the help, as Canadian media has been virtually silent about this story and thus most Canadians know absolutely nothing about what's going down here.

Our latest Honest Government out is a serious warning to Canada from Australia, which acts as a cautionary tail about the harms of the gas (LNG) export industry... Hence the cameo (spoiler alert) from our own aussie climate criminals, Woodside Energy
