It’s quite possible the dumbest opinion anyone has ever expressed about anything was the idea that Trump was too rich to corrupt.

Not only does it completely fail to understand him personally but it completely fails to grasp how rich people get to be rich and understand their motivations.

ICE has been holding a disabled Black man for a year!

Rodney Taylor is a double amputee who was days away from receiving new prosthetic legs when ICE took him.

He’s been denied his prosthetics & placed in solitary.

His health is declining.

Public outrage might save his life.

Say his name:

Demand the Release of Rodney Taylor from ICE Detention

“Parents should absolutely have the right to choose not to vaccinate” is not a pro-vaccine position. It’s the MAHA premise. It treats children as objects of parental choice rather than persons with independent claims to health.
The first time I remember praying for death I was 7 or 8 years old. The nuns said to offer my suffering up to Jesus. I had Crohn’s disease. Pediatric treatments existed, I never got them

Part 1 of a series on why “parental choice” framing on vaccines is dead wrong

I'm always of the school of thought where when I see unfairness I want to level everyone up so the worst-off do better. A lot of people though react by wanting the better-off to do worse. "It's not fair they get something I don't -- take it away from them!" instead of "let me have it too!"

Democrats may think they are softening the message when they say things like "Abolish Trump's ICE" but this is a mistake.

The qualifier of "Trump's" shows a deflection of Dem responsibility for perpetuating this agency and funding it.

Institutional neutrality is a straight jacket the campus presidents and boards put themselves in in order to absolve them of any moral obligations to the to the world and community which they reside. Trump’s Compact attempted to codify this practice that many, many campuses adopted on their own.

Here's the thing, Greg — free speech is still protected by the First Amendment under the Constitution.

If you want folks to stop saying you're the secret police who are kidnapping and killing people, maybe stop acting like the secret police who are kidnapping and killing people.
Bovino: "When politicians, community leaders, & some journalists engage in that heated rhetoric we keep talking about, when they make the choice to vilify law enforcement calling law enforcement 'Gestapo' or using the term 'kidnapping,' that is a choice & there are actions & consequences."

This was never about immigration or fraud. It was always about rigging elections.

No, they voted for murder in the streets. You can claim ignorance the first time, but not after J6 and the years of violent rhetoric and promises of more violence. They got mad that they were told to stay inside and wear masks for a few weeks in 2020 and Trump promised to hurt folks in retaliation.
Seriously, folks, people did NOT vote for murder on the streets. A majority of those who voted went for Trump, and to win power, those against Trump will have to win many of them over, not reject them all as people who want fascism.

that's not how anything works they're lying and destroying evidence hope that helps
And what is happening inside ICE detention centers? 404 Media also learned that the federal government claimed that the day after it was sued for allegedly abusing detainees at an ICE detention center, a “system crash” deleted nearly two weeks of surveillance footage from inside the facility.
ICE Says Critical Evidence In Abuse Case Was Lost In 'System Crash' a Day After It Was Sued
The government also said "we don't have resources" to retain all footage and that plaintiffs could supply "endless hard drives that we could save things to."

this is right. you don't have to work out every detail. start with no. go from there.
Senate Dems needn’t come to agreement on everything right now. That’s a path to the lowest common denominator. They simply have to agree to filibuster DHS approps. As to which of a host of anti-brutality and anti-authoritarian proposals to advance, let a thousand flowers bloom.
