Hey, Alberta!
It's possible.
It's possible.
The entire right-wing propaganda machine came after Zohran Mamdani.
The president and his allies came after him.
Democratic leaders, by and large, did not have his back until the last minute.
He still won, turning out historic numbers and inspiring young voters.
His politics can win anywhere.

The only way to nudge the status quo in the direction you wish to see it move is to advocate for extreme change in that direction. Asking only for the degree of change you want to see will have no impact. Centuries of democracy have taught us that.
Because I might consider myself only a little left of centre, but with how things are right now, with everything artificially shifted right, that means I need to vote as far left as I can find. That’s the only option for getting things at all over in the other direction.

Here’s what I think: if we don’t take a stand now and in the coming weeks, collective bargaining in good faith ends in Alberta.
If unions roll over, we might as well not have unions and Dani Dodamage can just force unfair working conditions on workers.
