Alaberta Smith is claiming:
•Judges aren’t elected, so they don’t have legitimacy.
•Courts “overstep” when they disagree with her.
•The notwithstanding clause is her tool to override “incorrect” court decisions.
•SHE gets to decide what is “correct,” not constitutional law.

Welcome to Alberta where complete wing nuts are now free to spew dangerous harmful lies and pretend it's a sound professional opinion. And why not our Premier Danielle Smith does it on a daily basis and made a career of it on her radio show. We don't need American style free speech!

They’re coming for abortion.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, I hope Albertans will remember that trans kids and teens are living breathing humans who just want to be themselves, without fear of hate and discrimination. Demonizing kids merely to score political points in some weird culture war is craven and cruel.

Since we in Alberta are hearing the phrase “elective surgery” bandied about so freely today, it doesn’t mean a nice to have surgery it means a surgery that can be scheduled. So say you have uterine cancer and you are not in the ER dying. Your surgery to remove your uterus is elective, scheduled

During the same week that the UCP is expanding privatization, the auditor general finds that government interference cost taxpayers over $100 million.

How can anyone deny it’s the government that’s the problem?

So Dani’s right hand man just publicly admitted that he doesn’t actually know how puberty blockers work.

But with his full chest he’s braying as if he does.

This is the perfect encapsulation of the problem.

(Braying wasn’t a typo BTW)

The narrative that we are being sold that our children's safety is somehow threatened by trans people participating in all aspects of public life as their authentic selves is the exact same bullshit that was peddled about queer folks 30 years ago. It was a lie then and it's a lie now.

She'll say that an apology has been issued and the matter is closed.

But what did she have to say a few months ago?
