The "misinformation" in question here is that gender-affirming care reduces suicides among youth. It merely reduces depression, anxiety, self-harm and suicidal ideation.

LinkedIn is such a garbage fire. It's literal proof that as long as you advertise something as being "for business" and market it as "prestige" or "professional", there's no shortage of moneyed corporate folks who will swallow that shit wholesale.

This is exactly why criticism of puberty blockers "not working" so centers on the fact that kids on blockers invariably grow up to go on HRT.
The unspoken understanding when they agreed to allowing blockers was that children, given "time to think things through", would mostly conclude they are cis.

Important to remember that Obama's attempts at bipartisanship did not work, to the point that the Republicans were actively rewarded by basing their entire brand on resisting cooperation at all times.
Democrats bend over backwards every election to show empathy for conservatives! Harris ran a campaign almost exclusively focused on appealing to the right.
I'm not gonna pretend there's an easy answer but most post-election discourse seems like it's criticizing a campaign that didn't happen.

It took Leelah Alcorn's suicide to prompt the Obama administration to change policy to something somewhat pro trans in the mid 2010s.
democrats in 2009-2011 required tyler clementi's suicide to push public opinion over the edge before before they fought for LGBT rights & have apparently learned nothing from that experience
i spent a month investigating how republicans could cut off access to trans healthcare for most americans, and how democrats can likely stop them — but it’s unclear if they will.
