Not only is it Black History Month. It’s also its 100th anniversary!!

To commemorate its centennial, I wrote a list of 10 Black films, one from each of the last 10 decades, to stream.

I don't think it's a coincidence that in the wake of that narrative we're seeing men who thrive on centering themselves in political narratives get mad because their M.O. of parachuting in and doing adventurism is not going over well with the folks doing the work.

Marimar Martinez is displaying an enormous amount of courage.

An ICE agent shot her five times. Called her a “b*tch” and bragged “5 shots 7 holes”.

They tried to kill her.

Rather than cowering, she’s using her voice to warn others.

Thank you Ms Martinez.

Part of what’s breaking my brain today is I’ve got friends fleeing the country, friends doing grocery runs for hunted neighbors, friends pretending nothing is wrong, and all of them are working on their taxes.

IT IS NOT “ALL IN YOUR HEAD”. THIS IS NOW PROVED BY ACTUAL SCIENCE.

Many years ago when I was a young and sprightly lolephant, I was told my asthma was because I was “too emotional”; & I was “addicted” to my inhaler.
For *asthma*, not even complex things like ME, fibromyalgia, long covid & endo.
"the relationship between reporting persisting symptoms & increased healthcare consumption could not be explained by cognitive-behavioural factors, depressive symptoms or neuropsychological functioning."

The good news: the Bateman Horne Center is developing a program in which ME/CFS and Long Covid experts would create a multifaceted care plan for your local care team to administer.

The bad news: Bateman Horne Center operates from an all-cash model and does not accept health insurance.
We’re building a new way to expand access to care.

Bateman Horne Center is developing the Access to Care Model, a scalable framework designed to extend informed care for ME/CFS & Long COVID beyond a single clinic.

Pilot launch planned for late 2026.
