I often talk about “stitching” so I thought you might like to see one of my pieces. I am fascinated by moss, lichen and fungi so try to interpret what I see with stitches and beads.

Things have to be just right for growth to happen and absorbing residual heat from a rock helps extend the season!

Bright pink crabapples. This tree was so odd: the crabapples were growing on short spurs all over the branches, so that it looked like a bright pink knobby mossy hedgehog tree.

BREAKING: Oakland McDonald’s strike begins days before Thanksgiving.

The company notified workers it's suddenly closing the store about a week ago, leaving us without jobs at the end of the month.

That's not how you treat your employees of nearly 20 years!

That ad by Democrat veterans, reminding service members of their right to refuse illegal orders, truly touched a nerve. For Trump and Hegseth, the hysterical reaction — threatening court-martial and death — inadvertently confirms underlying fear: fanatical loyalty over the legality of their demands

For the president and his minions, loyalty is more important than legality.

Emmanuel, a 15-year-old with intellectual disabilities, wandered away from his mom’s fruit stand in October.

She reported him missing to Houston police. But instead of reuniting them, the city turned him over to ICE.

“They’re failing all of us,” his mom said.

But one of the reasons I did call and beg him to vote against RFK is because Abraham and Jeff Landry wanted to dismantle La public health
Breaking News: The CDC quietly appointed Dr. Ralph Lee Abraham, who has been critical of vaccines, as its second in command. During the Covid pandemic, he promoted discredited treatments like ivermectin and, as Louisiana’s surgeon general, halted the state’s mass vaccination campaign.

The new big tobacco...?

Meta claims this particular study was flawed. Ok, but if this is the only study, then approach is ignorance is bliss/plausible deniability. Still bad PR.

Was this really the only study? If they found other results suggesting null or positive effects, they'd be hyping them.

Patient came in with sore throat. While waiting for rapid Strep test result we glanced back at the Covid-19 RAT result: positive. Reminder that masking in health care makes sense, if you don’t want everyone in your waiting room to go home sick, your staff to get sick, and physicians to get sick.

But current vaccines only reduce risk of heart damage, they do not eliminate it. We need masking, clean indoor air, better prevention & next gen vaccines
