If you get pepper-sprayed, avoid rubbing your eyes. Instead, irrigate them with lots of water, says Dr. Trisha Pasricha, our Ask a Doctor columnist.

It's been fun seeing The Consultants lose their mind about how they don't get this ad, which is the coolest shit she's done yet.

(Also, yes, that's Matt Mercer, who I've come to learn since this ad dropped is more famous than Michael Jordan.)
I'm Kat Abughazaleh and I approve this message.

Unmarked car, no lights or police insignia. Masked armed men leap out. Victim not in the act of committing any crime. This is not how a serious federal law enforcement agency acts in a free society.

How is this not supposed to be a “right wing paramilitary force loyal to the regime”?
This is just insane. It’s only a matter of time before DHS kills another innocent person here.

Trover: It happens all the time. Joe Biden's wealth increase while he was in office.

Mockler: Joe Biden's wealth increased from $8 million to $11 million because of investments. Donald Trump’s wealth increased by $4 billion in one year.

Go figure.

You're telling me the previous decade of escalating conservative rhetoric and anti-trans sentiment was never going to stop at transphobia?

I'm shocked. This is my shocked face.

They refer to Minnesota-St. Paul as a "theater" which is a military term for a geographical area of war -- the European Theater of Operations and the Pacific Theater in WW2. That's the Trump regime mindset of how it sees the nation, as theaters of war against people. Ethnic cleansing theaters.
Q: Can you be specific about how many ICE and CBP agents are currently operating in the state?

HOMAN: 3,000. There's been some rotations. They've been in theater a long time. Day after day, can't eat in restaurants, people spin on you, blowing whistles at you. But my main focus now is draw down

So let me get this straight:

It’s okay for you to cross state lines with an assault rifle and murder protesters.

But if you lawfully have a gun near a protest the government can murder you.

Periodic reminder that ICE still isn’t going after “hardened criminals”

We would all support that.

What do we gain from yanking this father away from his wife and child? What do we gain from deporting people who have been here for 20 years and never been in legal trouble?
Here's what ICE is up to in Northeast Minneapolis today. Absolutely heartbreaking.

These idiots spent 3 days calling him an assassin, a domestic terrorist, and blaming him for “pointing a gun at cops”

DHS account (and the video we all fucking watched) makes it clear that he never even attempted to reach for his gun.

His family should sue a bunch of people.

TBF I’d go further and say it’s 1% of people ruining society. Just not the the 1% Trump is thinking of
Trump:

"Two percent of the population causes 90% of the crime. So when you start decimating that two percent - boom."

This is straight up Nazi language.

And on International Holocaust Memorial Day.

This is unconscionable. Evil.

But it happened in May 2023, when Biden was president.

So no, we don’t “reform immigration detention,” we destroy ICE, CBP, and DHS. We can’t reform this soul sickness.
Anadith Danay Reyes Álvarez died in government custody.

She had sickle cell and congenital heart disease but couldn’t access timely and adequate medical care.

We need to reform immigration detention.

Apparently our electricity bills are going through the roof and this is partly related to data centers that hog huge amounts of electricity to generate information. I, for one, feel hopping mad about this. The companies that are using the data centers should bear the cost.

Last year, I reported on a problematic NYPD unit led by a particularly problematic commander.

The commander once pointed a gun at a motorcyclist and threatened to kill him.

Well, that commander, Kaz Daughtry, has a new job.

He now works for Trump's DHS.

So simply naming someone is doxxing, but taking photos and license plate numbers to create a database of the opposition for government stalking and harassment purposes is not?

Naming someone is not doxxing them, and moving them to another city to kill more is conspiracy against rights.

we didn't finish denazification. we didn't finish desegregation. we didn't finish reconstruction. every opportunity for transformative change was deliberately sabotaged by american leaders who knew their wealth would not survive a world freed from eugenics, white supremacy, and war profiteering.
