"Epstein class" is terrific not simply because several of them are directly tied to Epstein's crimes, but because it strikes at the corruption, immorality and impunity of that entire circle.
Ossoff: We were told that MAGA was for working-class Americans. But this is a government of, by, and for the ultra-rich. It’s the wealthiest Cabinet ever. This is the Epstein class. They are the elites they pretend to hate.

Congress issues commissions. They should be able to also rescind them.
I think about this a lot. How does the military come back from this kind of norm erosion?

Increasingly you see officers empowered to shout partisan screeds from the heart of the digital town square.

Tomorrow always comes, but how do we repair the professional norm and win back trust?

Is anybody ever gonna take a step back and realize the "Russia Russia Russia" people — derided as lunatic wine moms — were actually underplaying the foreign influence stuff, and the loud people who kept insisting it was all fake are now saying Jeffrey Epstein was kind of a cool guy?

While this makes me very happy (because anything that foils the Russians makes me happy), it’s also a timely reminder to all modern militaries that their tech toys can also be points of weakness. They’re all vulnerable in various ways. Better keep training in lower tech fighting and other skills too

🇲🇩🇺🇦 Moldovan President Sandu said that she is against her nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, because there are more worthy candidates - Ukrainian prisoners of war.

Sandu emphasized that it is Ukrainians who are truly sacrificing themselves for the sake of peace and security in Ukraine and the EU.

We are deciding right now whether we want to be a country with ethnic cleansing and concentration camps.
The banality of evil is shocking. An ex-Big Lots warehouse for cheap consumer junk is bought by ICE to ship as many as 7,500 handcuffed human beings, as the Trump regime builds a U.S. gulag archipelago

There is a Minecraft YouTuber who has an afternoon show on Classic FM mostly playing video game soundtracks
I wonder if people who don't play video games are aware of just how much incredible music is being created in this space? If John Williams or Jerry Goldsmith were getting started today, they would be composing for some epic RPGs, not film.

on the balance i think partisan gerrymandering is bad but the only way it ends is if democrats weaponize it against republicans everywhere they can. wiping out republican lawmakers in blue states might bring the GOP to the table to end the practice.
