Screenwriter of rambunctious eloquence. Sometimes comedy, sometimes comedic, sometimes just dramatic. Hard to believe I was a Nicholl Finalist!

Love movies, beer, music, tacos, and floating in a Texas river. BlueSky since 2023.

Occasionally sarcastic.

I find it amusing that part of my brain continues to generate/playback scenes from scripts I’ve not yet written.

That seems odd somehow.

Ugh. Tuesday was a long dull dreary trudge. Not awful in any notable sense, but just… exhausting.

On the plus side, I’m sure it will be good practice for these next two days.

Ugh.

Nailed it.

To "do" Art on any level-- create, appreciate, enjoy, celebrate-- one must have empathy. Imagination. Compassion. Humility. Intelligence.

HUMANITY, in other words.

Now consider what large demographic out there today scores low on all these fronts.

I keep reading the terrors in the news, but I also keep reading stories about ordinary people doing good and amazing things.

Remember that it is possible to be a lighthouse for somebody else. A shield and a sword.

There is not more good than bad. The bad is just loud.

Get home from work and finally fully discover that what seemed a fairly unremarkable post done blowed up on me into waaaay more action and attention than I normally ever manage.

I have no clue how any of the popular big names on social media maintain sanity.

We hugged the pilings on the trestle bridge as the freight train roared by just over our heads. We were laughing like fools.

Parents never heard that tale.

Mom could do that two finger whistle thing that we could hear a mile away. We’d usually have a bulls-horn bugle we could answer with (Horn Of Gondor type thing.) so long as we were back to the house before dusk, there was never even a question.
