Elias survived the famine in Gaza, but the cost was his sight. His small eyes are fading into darkness. He fought to live, now he struggles to see. We need urgent help to save his vision. Don't let his world go dark after he finally found life.

A fun game of “who is in the messages they’re now being forced to release saying some absolutely appalling things”, perhaps. We’ve already seen these lads aren’t cautious about speaking their minds.

Over 300,000 children already living in the UK could face 5–10 extra years before they can settle permanently.

Changing the rules mid-journey will likely increase child poverty. Latest from us 🔗 www.ippr.org/articles/far-from-settled-the-governments-earned-settlement-consultation

What bothers me most about the way people are discussing the Epstein files is that most seem to be treating the matters they address as things that occurred in the past, for which justice must be done, and not things continuing to happen, with children in urgent danger.

In the middle of a moral panic about sex trafficking so intense that I can't advertise a book about medieval history online and no one can access prom anymore, Labour's best and brightest are desperate to get on TV and let you know actually it is fine if rich people do it to poor girls.

The Times calls Keir Starmer's decision to hire Peter Mandelson an "egregious error" which deserves an "inquiry into the appointment process."

Not included is any demand for an inquiry into their own appointment of him, long after his post-conviction relationship with Jeffrey Epstein was exposed

@london.gov.uk please reconsider your refusal to ban fossil fuel product advertising on TfL

I know that you know Ella Roberta Kissi-Debrah was only 9 years old when she died, and that air pollution in London is officially recognised as a contributing factor in her needless and preventable death

1.
I just do not understand why the Mayor of London refuses to do this. I’ve asked him many times.

TfL is a public body and public purpose should be rippled through it like a stick of rock.

Taking adverts for fossil products like cars on the TfL network only undermines his transport strategy. 🤷‍♀️
“Amsterdam is set to ban climate-damaging advertising [fossil fuel and meat adverts] in public spaces, following a trend spreading across Dutch cities.

France has also enacted legislation outlawing adverts from non-renewable energy companies, and one Italian city has plans to do the same.”

As a fucking parent TALK TO YOUR FUCKING KIDS THEN. Worried they'll see porn? Talk to them about porn. Worried they'll see gore? Talk to them about gore. Worried they'll get groomed? Talk to them about red flags and cultivate trust with them so they won't feel they have to hide things from you.
"As a parent, I am deeply concerned about what my child is accessing online. Albeit not enough to check or to install some very basic software that would prevent them from accessing dodgy material online. That's why the Online Safety Act is so important."

Labour are knowingly putting more children at risk of poverty and destitution. We see this every day already @praxisprojects.bsky.social. The child poverty strategy acknowledges this too. The settlement proposals must be stopped.
⚠️New @ippr.org research: 300,000 children will be hit by the Govt’s earned settlement plans.

Retrospective changes will deepen child poverty, block access to higher education & trap families in years of uncertainty.

This is precarity by design.

I can already see McSweeney's departure being retconned as the moment everything "went wrong" for Labour. The sensibles will just ignore how the shit hit the fan well before this.
I think they just wouldn't bother. They'd blame the Left, or the Tories or somebody. Scroungers? Immigrants? They can never fail, only be failed
